TRILOGIE DER ILLUSION (TRILOGY OF ILLUSION)

Die Installation besteht aus drei Teilen (Modell, Video und Fotoleuchtkästen). Ausgangspunkt der Arbeit ist das Modell einer Wohnung mit verlassenen Wohnräumen. Das Modell dient als Kulisse für die Invasion von überdimensionierten Kleinstlebewesen, die diese verlassenen Räume "bewohnen".
Die drei Teile der Installation (Modell, Video und Fotoleuchtboxen) thematisieren verschiedene künstlerische Rezeptionsweisen von Raum, Zeit und Bild. Das Modell ist eine dreidimensionale Skulptur, um den man sich als Betrachter herum bewegen kann. Der Betrachter kann den Betrachterstandpunkt wechseln. Das Medium Video verbindet Bild und Zeit, es vereint eine narrativ erzählte Geschichte mit einem medial bewegten Bild. Die vier Fotos in den Leuchtkästen wiederum halten einen Moment auf einer zweidimensionalen Bildfläche fest. Die Motive der Fotos erinnern an niederländische Stilleben der Interieurmalerei.

The installation consists of three parts (model, video and photo light boxes). The starting point of the work is a model of an apartment with abandoned rooms. The model serves as a backdrop for the invasion of oversized micro-organisms that "inhabit" these abandoned rooms.
The three parts of the installation (model, video and photo light boxes) address different artistic perceptions of space, time and image. The model is a three-dimensional sculpture around which the viewer can move. The viewer can change the point of view. The medium of video combines image and time, it unites a narratively told story with a medially moving image. The four photos in the light boxes, in turn, capture a moment on a two-dimensional image layer. The motifs of the photos are reminiscent of Dutch still lifes of interior painting.

Auch das Video ist in drei Teile aufgeteilt. Teil I Die Maske spielt in einer ruinösen Miniaturküche. Einer Riesenschabe krabbelt an den Wänden rauf und runter. Gravitation scheint außer Kraft gesetzt. In Teil II Die Täuschung flattert ein Schmetterling um einen Miniaturkronleuchter, angezogen vom künstlichen Licht. Er hat jegliche Orientierung verloren. Teil III Die Falle beginnt in dem Mini-Badezimmer, in dem sich einige Fliegen aufhalten. Die Tür zum Schlafzimmer mit abgerissener Blümchentapete fehlt. Im Schlafzimmer hat eine große Hausspinne ihr Revier. Sie überquert niemals die Türschwelle zum Badezimmer, aber die Fliegen fliegen immer wieder durch die Türöffnung in ihr Revier. Es beginnt ein Kampf auf Leben und Tod.

The video is also divided into three parts. Part I The mask takes place in a ruinous miniature kitchen. A giant cockroach crawls up and down the walls. Gravity seems to be suspended. In Part II The Deception, a butterfly flutters around a miniature chandelier, attracted by artificial light. It has lost all orientation. Part III The Trap begins in the miniature bathroom, where some flies are lingering. The door to the bedroom with torn floral wallpaper is missing. A large house spider has its territory in the bedroom. It never crosses the threshold to the bathroom, but the flies keep flying through the doorway into its territory. A fight to the death begins.
